What is FOLD?
FOLD is a Canadian-based online platform produced by d.talks that explores the role of design in the built environment. FOLD creates a space for sharing ideas on art, architecture and design with a general public audience that reside in Canada and beyond.
What is your editorial process?
We accept idea submissions in the form of an abstract on a regular basis. All submissions must be previously unpublished and original material. Final published works can be in the form of an essay or written text, photography, illustrations or drawings that explore ideas about the built environment.
We publish reviews, essays and articles that range from 500 to 2,500 words. Please visit the sections of the publication to become familiar with the type of work we publish.
How can i submit an idea?
To submit an idea, send an abstract to fold@dtalks.org. Abstracts should describe your idea in a single page or less and highlight any relevant scope or key supporting arguments that you plan to address in your article.
All submissions are reviewed by an editorial committee and abstract acceptances are notified quarterly. If your abstract is accepted, you will be asked to submit a completed draft and estimated word count for the section upon which your submission was accepted. We publish original material and reserve the right to edit all content.
